Newport Aquarium

We took the kids to the aquarium last weekend. They loved it! They were excited about everything. There was a touch tank with little sharks and rays...very cool. The second picture is of Spider Crabs. They are the world's largest crabs and the creepiest!

Christmas Part 3

A few more holiday pictures. The kids in front of the tree with G'ma Dee. Caleb and Sarah checking out the gifts Santa brought them.

Christmas Part 2

Some holiday highlights. Caleb and Sarah both enjoying a moment with their stockings. Yummy cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. Sarah and G'ma Dee checking out the Christmas tree.

Bowling with G'ma Dee

We took the kids bowling for the first time. Wow! What an experience. They both loved it but Caleb didn't understand why it wasn't his turn every time. Sarah even got a strike!

Snow Day

After her turn on the little dish, Sarah had to pull Mickey around the yard a few times!
Caleb has discovered the art of the "cheesy" photo smile. You don't have to say, "say cheese," all you have to do is have a camera, he'll say cheese and this is what happens. We didn't have to go far or even very fast to make Sarah smile. The second snow day we just went in circles around the driveway.
Dashing through the snow....both kids loved running back and forth across the front lawn in the snow. Pretty easy entertainment!

Christmas part 1

The mall Santa. Sarah wasn't too excited about this but of course, Caleb loved it!Our happy tree decorators!
Picking out the perfect Christmas tree!
We got really messy decorating Christmas cookies. We love sprinkles! Not to eat, just to pour out! Our friend Jackson and his mom joined us for some good fun!

New Pix of the Kids

Peek a boo
The presents are all mine!

Close up!
We had pictures taken of the kids recently and these were some of our favorites that we didn't order. There were too many to choose from.

Elmo...Again!

We took the kids to see Sesame Street Live again recently. It was actually here in Eugene. This one was all about music. Very cute! The kids absolutely loved it. Caleb rocked out. He stood in his chair dancing the entire time. Sarah was mesmerized by it all, I think her favorite part was singing the ABC's along with the characters.

Adventures in Potty Training

So we officially started potty training at our house. We started with Sarah, she showed more of an interest. Caleb is a great cheerleader for her though. He occassionally wants to try but for the most part it's a lot of Hooray for sister! This picture was fun. She's in her plastic pants, a great cow hat (thanks g'ma & papa), her potty watch, playing her very loud recorder!

First Lollypops!

Okay, I know, silly post. But this was a big deal. I've been really aprehensive about going here! The of course loved it! Caleb savored his, until it was next to nothing, while big sis sucked on hers about half way and then chomped...just like daddy!

Thanksgiving

5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, no one fell off (thank goodness) and bumped their heads. Caleb and Sarah both loved jumping on the bed with all of their cousins! And the older kids were really great with them!
Caleb hamming it up with daddy.

There was a little stuffed turkey that gobbled. Sarah loved it. Here Grandma is "getting" her with it.

More Halloween Fun

We took the kids to Oregon Gardens this weekend for some Halloween fun. They had a fall festival with lots of fun activities. There was a costume parade, a mini pumpkin sling-shot, crafts, animals (note the monkey hugging the snake tail), a hay-ride and a kid sized corn maze. It was a nice day and a fun outing. We had extra fun because the Brunsvolds' were there too!
A fellow twin didn't want to wear his moving monster truck costume so Caleb helped him out. The wheels actually rolled as you walked inside and Caleb drove it all over. This was at our Twins' Club Halloween party.
More pumpkin goo! This year the kids helped me clean out the pumpkin. I scrapped it off, they scooped it out. It was very fun. We carved our pumpkin and roasted the seeds which they love snacking on!

Pumpkin Patch

Here are the kids in the adorable sweaters g'ma made for them with the too cute matching hats! Caleb had to give a few high 5's. This is forever known as the high 5 sweater.
Smelling the mums at Thistledown. They were absolutely gorgeous! We love Thistledown...it was a weekend and fairly uncrowded. While the other place down the road was just chaos!
After many "too heavy" pumkins and no's, Sarah found the perfect pumpkin. She carried it all by herself back to the wagon.
This was the only pumpkin Caleb seemed to like. Everytime he picked one, he didn't want to carry it and kinda melted a little. It was a little too close to nap time for such big decisions. He did eventually pick one and he carried it while daddy carried him.
The big weigh in. As you can see by both expressions, it was definitely time to be done! All in all it was a very fun outing. This weekend....the carving...and maybe a little pumpkin goo!

Random Pictures

Sarah doesn't get to wear dresses very often but we got all dressed up the other day. She twirled around in circles and was excited to wear her "special" shoes.
Here's our boy in the box. He crawled in here and I thought it was pretty funny. Eventually I decided okay, he's in there let's take a picture and he actually stayed. Usually these are those moments that are never caught of film because by the time you find the camera, it's over....
I think it may have been talk like a pirate day....this is Sarah's best "ARG."
