Snow Day
So we came home from Portland and everything was white. The kids had a blast. This was the first time they really played in the snow. Caleb loved getting down and rolling around in it and Sarah kept hitting herself in the face with snowballs! They giggled and giggled! So did we!
What snow day would be complete without hot chocolate? The kids had their first cup of hot chocolate after getting into dry comfy sweats. They seemed to really enjoy it!
Portland
The first three pictures were taken at the Childrens' Museum in Portland. What a great place. There is so much to do for little ones. Sarah and Caleb loved the grocery store area. They both filled up their carts and raced around running into everyone and everything! They also played with trains, in a very cool kids area with an outdoor setting, on a stage, and with a light box. If you have kiddos, it's definitely worth a trip to Portland!
The kids got to eat yummy mini ice cream cones with cousin Michaela. It looks like Caleb is about to really share his ice cream with Michaela. They got very messy and had lots of fun emptying the cupboards, barking with the dogs, and playing with fun toys. They spent the evening with Aunt Gail and Uncle Mike while mommy and daddy had a night out to see Blue Man Group.
Kid Fun
The kids LOVE to color. They got some big, washable (thanks Robin!) crayons for Christmas and they will color for ever if I let them. They have crayons for the bath tub too. I think I have some budding artists.
Sarah has decided that all of her "friends" are thirsty or hungry. She gives them all drinks of her juice and bites of her snack occassionally.
They both love books and they especially like to sit in their rocking chairs to read.

Latest updates
This is Sarah with her friend Camden. They were caught dancing together. Camden's mom and I both wondered if this is a sign of things to come.
Caleb loves giving Zerberts/rasberries. Here he gave one to daddy and then laughed hysterically. It is too funny! I've caught him giving them to the chairs, the table, his sister...it's too much!
Sarah discovered how to "walk" on daddy's feet. She loves it! They are both just so fun to watch these days. They recently figured how to climb on the couch via the ottoman and have figured out how to push their rocking chairs to higher places to explore. The other day they even "tucked" their Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls in for a nap. What little sponges they are!

Christmas with the Speasl Gang
Caleb enjoyed entertaining the crowd with his santa hat. He's just decided that hats aren't so bad...especially fun ones like this.
Grandma made special Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for the kids and they came in their very own just right for Caleb and Sarah sized rocking chairs.
Aunt Gail showed the kids a laser pointer and the kids loved it. Sarah took charge and wanted to do it herself!
After immediatley tossing Ann and Andy to the floor, the kids climbed right in. They love these chairs and it's amazing to me how they suddenly have these motor skills that I didn't know about, they climb, literally into, onto, and around these chairs...no fear!
Sarah was very taken with coloring. She would exchange her crayons occassionally and didn't want to stop. Even to open gifts. I have another picture of her, crayon in hand, coloring a package instead of opening it.

"Christmas" morning
These are some pictures from our little family Christmas celebration. Santa came to our house a few days early. The kids were so much fun this year. They loved everything. They enjoyed opening presents...even if they weren't theirs and enjoyed lots of contraban food like cookies, cinnamon rolls, and various other sweet treats.
