S'Mores Please!

David got a little fire pit for his birthday and we finally tried it out. The kids loved their first S'mores! These pictures just don't do it justice. By the end there was chocolate and marshmallow everywhere! And very messy faces!

Grandma and Papa's House

We took the kids to G'ma and Papa's for the weekend. They had a blast! Lots of fun stuff to do.
Papa has a big pile of pea gravel the kids loved. Sarah kept climbing it and sliding down. Caleb dug in it with the "heavy equiptment" the grandparents provided. I have never seen them so dirty!
Caleb on his first 4-wheeler. They loved it. "Ride motorcycle!" was a very common phrase the whole weekend.
Here's Caleb's big dump truck. He pushed this all over the place even wearing a little blister on his hand!
A little time-out to cool off at the lake!
G'ma helped Sarah with her new little friend. Pappa caught a baby lizard. This was a big hit. Poor Caleb was so exhausted with no nap that he was asleep in the car and pretty much missed this. They caught one the next day and he still wasn't too interested. Just wanted to push his dump truck.

Enchanted Forest

We met "Auntie" Laura and Michaela at Enchanted Forest. The kids absolutely loved it and we had an Enchanted Forest Expert (Michaela) to help us by reading all the nursery rhymes and showing us where to go. It was perfect.

Checking out an old wagon in the Wild, West Village. A little rickety for me, but the kids loved it.
We rode the very wild train. The kids love trains so this was perfect. It bounced and made animal sounds. Very cute!
Checking out the mote around Cinderella castle. The kids were very curious!
Posing for a picture. Lots of photo opps at this place....crazy!
The kids on their very first ferris wheel ride. A little unsure at first, they warmed up to it and had fun.

Bumper boats just the right size. This was fun! They kept "smash-crashing" each other. Here Sarah gets brother good!My little civil war man! Love the wistful expression here! He was into this until the costume got put on.

Trip to the Beach

We took the kids to the coast at the end of August. We started with the Sea Lion Caves and then an afternoon at the beach. It was a pretty nice day and we all had a lot of fun!

They loved running to the water and then saying "back up, back up" as it came rolling in. It was so cold but they didn't seem to mind! I love this picture....oh to be a care-free kiddo!
They both took turns flying the kite. I had to chase it more than once!

We buried them both in big holes in the sand. They loved playing in the sand and no one ate any this year!
Caleb the mermaid. It was fun at first but this picture is just about the time he ran out of patience.
