Wildlife Safari

The kids and I went to Wildlife Safari back in March. It was a great day that started out with a bang. Sarah got sick about half way there. We had to stop and it took every last wipe that I had to clean her up. What a trooper though. I asked her if she wanted to go home and she said no that she wanted to go to the animal park. She was fine the rest of the day thank goodness. Luckily I had some of Caleb's jeans in the car but we stopped to pick her up a new shirt!

The animals were more active than I have ever seen. The bears were playing in the water, the hippo was rolling around and jumping out of the water, and a giraffe walked really close to the car. The kids loved it. The only thing we missed was the elephants. They were too busy with commercial ventures. The park does a lot of money making gimicks now like the "elephant car wash." For $20 you can have the elephants dump large buckets of water on your car with you in it. Then you still have to drive down the dirt road to the safari exit. HMMM......

Milking the poor fake cow. This cow had been through a lot and wasn't in very good shape!
In the petting zoo they had a few of the typical animals but they were all miniature. Pretty fun!

Caleb climbing in with the miniature donkey. We rode the little train. Kinda quick and silly (don't see anything) but the kids of course loved it. Here are the men, on the look out! Caleb with Zachary and Camden...our friends who met us there.

Petting the giant tortoise. He just walked around while kids mobbed him. The kids were pretty excited.

Gotta love the cheesy photo op!

Me with my super-cute, little munchkins on the train. What a crazy busy day. But very fun!

Easter Fun

The kids checking out their baskets this morning. The Easter Bunny brought them great new books and some very fun puzzles.

Yes...we're still 2...barely! This is at the community egg hunt. It was a little disappointing but the kids had fun. We went to Decker nursery after to pick up some flowers and found out they had a hunt about to start. It looked great. The kids got to hold a little bunny and pet a baby lamb. A much better choice for next year!

Decorating and showing off the eggs they did this year. We let them dip the eggs themselves this year. Caleb had multi colored fingertips that he was pretty excited about. Sarah, of course, had not a drop on her.

Hugging the bunny! They love him this year!

Easter Bunny

The kids went to see the Easter Bunny this weekend. The minute Sarah was out of the stroller, she ran to hug him. Caleb just kept saying Easter Bunny over and over. After we left, Sarah said I forgot to tell him something. We went back and she said, "I forgot to tell you I love you!" The photographer kept telling Caleb to smile and this was as good as it got. In the other pix, he's squinting and wrinkling up his face. He's totally got the cheesy camera smile down!

Birthday Party Pix

Digging through the hay pile to find lots of hidden treasures. The kids loved this! Sarah really got into it sweeping the hay away with her arm just like the big kids.

The last guy at the table. Not only is he the slowest little eater, he didn't seem to want to give up the yummy cake, even when other stuff was going on.

Little Cowgirl! Sarah tried on the hat for all of about 1 minute. She did sit on the saddle. She just wanted to be like the big kids. Caleb didn't want much to do with the saddle.

Totally in his element. He didn't seem to care that there was a party happening around him. He found his favorite thing and stuck with it.

We loved the parachute. Both kids took several turns running under it and tossing it up as well.
I took the kids to our friend Camden's 5th birthday party. Gotta love the western theme. The kids had a blast! Both of them got a little muddy, went without naps, and played super hard! It was too much fun! That's the birthday boy there in the last picture with his nice new Wranglers! Yee-haw!

Random Pictures

Sarah doing her silly eyes. She started crossing her eyes a while back intentionally. She especially loves to do it when your losing your patience while she sits on the potty or at the dinner table when she doesn't want to eat something.

Enjoying our first boxes of Cracker Jacks. I was amazed to find the old school boxes. The kids of course loved them. The prizes were way cheesier than anything I remember as a kid. What happened to the little magnifying glass, the stickers, or the cool tattoos? Instead it't little paper bendable books that are supposed to be magic. That is if you can bend them without tearing them in the process!

Real Snow at G'ma and Papa's House

Sarah on the snow mobile with daddy and below with G'ma cruising around on the dish. Such an adrenaline junkie. She loved both...especially the snow mobile. She suckered Papa into lots of rides!

Caleb with his truck. That's all he needed. He loves it no matter what the situation, sand, snow, rocks. A boy and his truck! He wasn't quite as taken with the snow mobile as sister. This was his one and only ride!

Papa giving Caleb a rope pulled ride on the snow dish. He was a little more into this.

Love this picture. They are practicing their snow angels. They were so excited about them. They did actually make a few the next day in the snow!

We took the kids to David's parents for the weekend after Christmas. They had tons of snow. It snowed one entire day we were there. The kids loved it. We played with little snow dishes, trucks, sand toys, dug tunnels, and rode snow mobiles. I rode a snow mobile solo for the first time. That was fun. What a great weekend!
